Bandwidth, Transfer Quota and Port Speed

Transfer quota and port speed describe different limits and should not be treated as the same measurement.

Port speed

Port speed is the service-side maximum or policy rate stated for the plan. Real application throughput can be lower because of routing, latency, congestion, protocol behaviour, remote-server limits or the customer workload.

Monthly transfer

Monthly transfer is the quantity of data included for the billing period. A higher port speed does not increase the included transfer allowance unless the product explicitly says so.

Test more than one path

  • Use more than one test destination.
  • Compare single-stream and multi-stream behaviour where your test method supports it.
  • Test at different times before concluding there is a persistent capacity issue.
  • Avoid treating a single remote speed-test server as the provider-wide result.

Basic latency and path checks

Examples
ping -c 20 1.1.1.1
traceroute 1.1.1.1
# If installed:
mtr -rwzc 100 1.1.1.1

When contacting support

  • Include source and destination addresses.
  • Include timestamp and timezone.
  • State the test tool and whether the issue is single-destination or widespread.
  • Include the purchased plan and expected port speed or transfer allowance from the service details.

Language

Display currency

Display preference only. Existing WHMCS invoices, transactions and account credit remain in the account billing currency.
Some technical and legal text may remain in English as the safe fallback.
