6. Prohibited Proxy Uses
Proxy services must not be used for:
6.1 Account and Identity Abuse
- credential stuffing, password spraying, or password attacks;
- account takeover or unauthorised login attempts;
- deceptive or inauthentic mass account creation;
- bypassing a suspension or ban for abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful purposes;
- buying, selling, testing, or trafficking stolen accounts or credentials;

- obtaining goods, services, benefits, tickets, or promotions through deception.
6.3 Network and Security Abuse
Security testing is permitted only where the system owner has provided written authorisation and Interdata Networks has approved the use in advance.
- DDoS, DoS, flooding, or resource-exhaustion attacks;
- unauthorised port scanning, vulnerability scanning, probing, or exploitation;
- malware distribution, botnet activity, or command-and-control traffic;
- compromising, interrupting, degrading, or bypassing the security of a network or service;
- concealing the source of malicious or unauthorised security activity.
6.4 Spam and Messaging Abuse
SMTP and other messaging-related ports may be blocked or restricted.
- unsolicited bulk email or messaging;
- spam posting on websites, forums, comments, or social platforms;
- creation or operation of spam-support infrastructure;
- harvesting contact information for unsolicited marketing;
- bypassing anti-spam controls or mailing-platform restrictions.
6.5 Unauthorised Data Collection
- collecting non-public information without authority;
- bypassing authentication, paywalls, access controls, or confidentiality restrictions without permission;
- collecting personal data unlawfully or for an unlawful purpose;
- collecting passwords, authentication tokens, financial information, or sensitive personal data without authority;
- circumventing technical controls to obtain information you are not authorised to access;
- using collected data for harassment, discrimination, fraud, surveillance, or other harmful purposes.
6.6 Copyright and Media Abuse

- bypassing ticket limits, queue systems, or purchase restrictions;
- manipulating rankings, reviews, product availability, pricing, or public metrics;
- automated purchasing intended to deprive ordinary users of fair access;
- search-engine or advertising manipulation involving fake clicks, searches, traffic, or engagement.
6.8 Unauthorised Resale and Open Access
- reselling or redistributing proxy access without written approval;
- publishing proxy credentials or endpoint details publicly;
- operating an open, unauthenticated, or publicly accessible proxy;
- allowing unknown or unverified third parties to use the service;
- concealing the identity of downstream users where identification is reasonably required for abuse handling.
7. Customer-Operated Proxies, VPNs, and Relays
Interdata Networks-managed proxy products are permitted subject to this AUP.
A proxy, VPN, relay, TOR exit node, or anonymisation service operated by a customer through an ordinary VPS, hosting account, or server is not automatically permitted. Public or open services require prior written approval and may require migration to a suitable plan.
Private customer-operated proxies or VPNs must be authenticated, secured, and limited to identifiable authorised users.
8. Verification and Compliance Review
Interdata Networks may request:
Access may be limited or suspended while review is pending. Failure to provide accurate information or complete a reasonable verification request may result in rejection, suspension, or termination.
- government-issued identification;
- proof of address;
- business registration information;
- proof of payment ownership;
- details of intended use and target categories;
- evidence of authority to access or test a target;
- details of downstream users or customers;
- remediation information concerning an abuse report.
9. Technical Restrictions
Interdata Networks may block, restrict, rate-limit, or require verification for particular:
A destination that is available at one time may later be restricted due to abuse, legal, security, supplier, or operational concerns.
- websites, domains, IP ranges, or destination categories;
- ports and protocols;
- request rates, connection counts, sessions, or bandwidth;
- countries or geographic regions;
- banking, government, ticketing, streaming, messaging, and other sensitive platforms.
10. Credentials and Downstream Users
You must use secure passwords or IP-based access controls, prevent unauthorised sharing, and rotate credentials that may have been compromised.
You may not share proxy credentials outside your organisation unless the plan expressly permits sub-users or resale. Approved resellers must maintain sufficient records to identify the responsible downstream user and must suspend abusive users promptly.
11. Bandwidth, Concurrency, and Fair Use
Usage is subject to the bandwidth, traffic, connection, concurrency, speed, session, and request limits stated on the order page.
Where a service is described as “unlimited”, it remains subject to fair use. Unlimited does not mean unrestricted or permanently dedicated use of all available network capacity.
Interdata Networks may apply speed limits, concurrency limits, target-specific rate limits, bandwidth thresholds, temporary throttling, traffic shaping, or plan migration where usage threatens service stability or is inconsistent with the purchased plan.
Traffic may be measured as total data transferred through the service, including request data, response data, and protocol overhead where technically recorded.
12. IP Address Use and Reputation
IP addresses remain under the control of Interdata Networks or its infrastructure providers. You do not acquire ownership of an assigned address.
Interdata Networks may replace, withdraw, rotate, quarantine, or reassign an address due to maintenance, abuse reports, blacklisting, routing, geolocation, supplier requirements, legal requirements, or service expiry.
Interdata Networks does not guarantee that an IP address will remain accepted by every target, remain absent from every reputation database, retain identical geolocation classification, or avoid CAPTCHAs and anti-bot checks.
13. Hosting Resource Abuse
Customers may not use hosting or virtual-server services in a manner that unreasonably consumes CPU, memory, storage, disk I/O, process counts, or network resources.
Cryptocurrency mining, fork bombs, intentionally disruptive benchmarks, and resource-exhaustion workloads are prohibited unless expressly approved.
14. Email and Port Restrictions
Outbound TCP port 25 may be blocked by default and opened only after review. Interdata Networks may block or restrict additional ports associated with spam, attacks, malware, scanning, or other high-risk activity.
Approval to use a port may be revoked if abuse or reputation concerns arise.
15. Investigation and Enforcement
Where Interdata Networks reasonably suspects a violation, we may:
Immediate action may be taken without prior notice where necessary to protect users, networks, IP reputation, infrastructure partners, or the public.
- request identification or intended-use information;
- issue a warning or remediation request;
- block a destination, port, protocol, credential, or request type;
- rotate or withdraw affected proxy IPs;
- rate-limit or restrict a service;
- preserve relevant records;
- suspend or terminate a service;
- refuse renewal or future orders;
- cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities.
16. Abuse Reports
Abuse reports should be sent to [email protected] and should include the affected IP address, accurate timestamps and timezone, destination domain or URL, logs or headers, and a clear explanation of the alleged activity.
Incomplete or unverifiable reports may require further information.
17. No Refund for Violations
Suspension, restriction, IP withdrawal, or termination resulting from a violation of this AUP does not qualify for a refund, compensation, or SLA credit except where required by law.
18. Policy Changes
Interdata Networks may update this AUP to address legal, security, operational, technical, or abuse-related developments. Material changes will be published through our website, client area, or another reasonable notice channel.
19. Software Licensing, Microsoft Windows and Activation
Customers must hold and maintain every software licence, subscription, Client Access Licence, user/device entitlement and other permission required for software used on an Interdata Networks service.
Where Interdata Networks makes a Microsoft Windows evaluation, trial, unactivated or customer-licensed (BYOL) image available, the image is supplied as a deployment convenience. A Microsoft Windows licence is not included unless the relevant product description expressly states otherwise.
You are responsible for confirming that your licence or subscription permits deployment and use in a third-party hosted or virtualised environment. Possession of a product key or successful activation does not by itself establish that the required licensing rights exist.
You must not use pirated or cracked software, stolen or improperly obtained licence keys, unauthorised KMS or activation services, activation bypasses, loaders, cracks, or other mechanisms intended to evade software licensing or activation requirements.
Interdata Networks may reasonably request evidence of licensing entitlement when necessary to investigate a complaint, address a material compliance risk, satisfy an infrastructure/provider requirement, or comply with law. Interdata Networks may restrict, suspend, remove or refuse affected software or services where reasonably necessary to address suspected infringement or invalid licensing.
Evaluation or trial software may expire, restart, restrict functionality, require activation or cease operating according to the publisher's terms. Such software behaviour is not, by itself, a VPS hardware or network failure and does not create a service-credit or refund entitlement except where required by law.
20. Shared and Reseller Hosting Fair Use, Storage and Backups
Shared hosting and reseller hosting operate on shared infrastructure. Features described as Unlimited, Unmetered, Unlimited Inodes, Unlimited Accounts, Unlimited Transfer or similar do not provide an unrestricted right to consume all available filesystem, storage, CPU, memory, disk I/O, process, database, mail or network capacity.
Unlimited features are intended for normal website, application, database and email hosting associated with legitimate hosted websites and remain subject to purchased storage, CloudLinux resource limits, available platform capacity, abuse prevention and this Acceptable Use Policy.
Unlimited Inodes means that no fixed advertised inode quota is ordinarily imposed for the applicable plan. Interdata Networks may investigate, restrict, require cleanup, suspend affected workloads or require migration where file or directory counts materially impair filesystem, backup, malware-scanning or server performance; are generated primarily by uncontrolled cache, session, temporary-file or logging processes; consist primarily of archives or non-hosting storage; or otherwise create a material risk to the shared platform or other customers.
Hosting space must not be used primarily as:
Local DirectAdmin backups may be created for legitimate migration, restoration, maintenance and disaster-recovery purposes where the service permits them. Local backups are temporary working copies and are not permanent backup storage.
Unless a service description expressly provides otherwise, Interdata Networks may limit local backup count, size, creation frequency, scheduling window or retention. Up to three local backup archives per hosted account may be retained at one time. Creation of additional local backups may be refused until older local backup archives are removed or transferred off-server.
Interdata Networks may remove expired or abandoned temporary backup files, or require their removal, where reasonably necessary for storage management, security, backup-system operation or platform stability. Where reasonably practicable, notice will be provided before removal. Immediate action may be taken where delay would materially threaten service availability, security, data integrity or other customers.
Complimentary or provider-operated backups are best-effort unless the Customer has purchased a separate backup service with an express retention commitment. Backup schedules, retention and eligibility may vary. Accounts with unusually high storage use, file counts, database size or processing requirements may be excluded from complimentary backup operations where reasonably necessary. Customers remain responsible for maintaining independent current copies of important data.
A reseller is responsible for the activity of customer accounts and sub-users created under the reseller service. Usage by downstream customers is treated as usage under the reseller service for resource-management and abuse purposes.
Interdata Networks may restrict an individual downstream account where practicable, or the reseller service where abuse is widespread, repeated, unresolved, technically inseparable or creates an immediate platform risk.
Where reasonably necessary to protect service reliability, security or fair access to shared resources, Interdata Networks may limit abusive processes, temporarily restrict shared resources, refuse additional local backup creation, exclude an account from complimentary backups, require optimisation or cleanup, require migration to a more suitable service, or suspend an affected account.
Except for urgent security, abuse or platform-stability events, Interdata Networks will normally attempt to provide reasonable remediation instructions before material service restriction.
- a permanent or long-term backup repository;
- general-purpose archive, cloud-drive or object-storage replacement;
- a public file mirror or bulk download repository;
- CDN or proxy storage intended primarily for distribution;
- software, ISO or unrelated file repositories;
- video or media distribution infrastructure; or
- storage for large quantities of files unrelated to hosted websites, applications, databases or email.
