How Private Nameservers Work

Private nameservers allow you to use branded DNS hostnames such as ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com instead of generic provider names. This is useful for white-label hosting.

  • Create child nameserver host records at your domain registrar.
  • Assign the correct IP addresses to those host records.
  • Update your domains or customer domains to use the new nameservers.

Nameserver changes can take time to propagate globally.
