Who this is for:
Customers who want to upload website files manually.

Overview:
You can upload your website to your hosting account using cPanel File Manager. Most websites should be uploaded to the public_html folder.

What you need before starting:

  • access to cPanel

  • your website files

  • a ZIP archive if you want faster upload

Steps:

  1. Log in to cPanel.

  2. Open File Manager.

  3. Go to the public_html directory.

  4. Click Upload.

  5. Select your website ZIP file or files.

  6. If you uploaded a ZIP archive, return to File Manager.

  7. Right-click the ZIP file and choose Extract.

  8. Confirm that your website files are placed inside public_html.

Important note:
If your files are inside an extra folder after extraction, move them so that your main index.php or index.html is directly inside public_html.

How to verify it worked:
Visit your domain in a browser. If the upload was successful, your website should load.

Common mistakes:

  • uploading files to the wrong folder

  • leaving everything inside a nested folder

  • missing index file

  • uploading incomplete files

When to contact support:
Contact support if your website does not load after upload or shows permission or server errors.
