???? Windows is Coming to SVR4U VPS!
We’re expanding our VPS operating system library with official Windows installation options:
• Windows Server 2016
• Windows Server 2019
• Windows Server 2022
• Windows Server 2025
• Windows 10
• Windows 11
Windows images are provided as BYOL / Evaluation installations.
???? Windows Licensing
A Microsoft Windows license is not included with your VPS.
Customers are responsible for providing and activating their own valid Windows license if they wish to use Windows beyond the applicable evaluation period.
Evaluation installations remain subject to Microsoft’s licensing and evaluation terms.
⚙️ Automatic Provisioning
Our provisioning system has been upgraded with Windows-aware deployment support, including Cloudbase-Init integration for automated network and initial system configuration.
Both IPv4 and IPv6 configuration are supported as part of our Windows provisioning architecture.
???? Minimum VPS Requirements
Due to the additional resource requirements of Windows compared with most Linux distributions:
• 2 GB RAM is the minimum supported configuration for Windows VPS installations
• 4 GB RAM or more is strongly recommended
• Windows 10, Windows 11 and newer Windows Server editions may require additional RAM, CPU and disk resources for a comfortable experience
• Very small or heavily resource-constrained VPS plans may not be eligible for Windows installation
Windows installations running below our recommended specifications may receive limited performance-related support, as slow performance caused by insufficient allocated resources is outside the operating system deployment itself.
????️ Support Scope
SVR4U will support the VPS infrastructure, virtualization, initial Windows deployment and network configuration.
Customers remain responsible for:
• Windows licensing and activation
• Software installed inside Windows
• Windows Update and application compatibility
• Third-party applications and licensing
• Resource sizing appropriate for their workload
Windows templates are being rolled out across our VPS platform, with additional testing and improvements continuing as we expand the feature.
Thank you for supporting SVR4U! ❤️
